{"id":10041,"date":"2024-08-29T09:31:57","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T13:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jesusdidsay.com\/?page_id=10041"},"modified":"2026-10-07T11:26:31","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T11:26:31","slug":"mark-chapter-11-jesus-comes-to-jerusalem-as-king","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jesusdidsay.com\/?page_id=10041","title":{"rendered":"Mark Chapter 11 Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11\u00a0<\/strong>As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany\u00a0at the Mount of Olives,\u00a0Jesus sent two of his disciples,\u00a0<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>saying to them,\u00a0<mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ff0000\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\">\u201cGo to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden.\u00a0Untie it and bring it here.\u00a0<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>If anyone asks you, \u2018Why are you doing this?\u2019 say, \u2018The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.\u2019\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway.&nbsp;As they untied it,&nbsp;<sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>some people standing there asked, \u201cWhat are you doing, untying that colt?\u201d&nbsp;<sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go.&nbsp;<sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it.&nbsp;<sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields.&nbsp;<sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHosanna!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBlessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cBlessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHosanna in the highest heaven!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts.
