When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.\u00a0<sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>Then he said to the tree,\u00a0<mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ff0000\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\">\u201cMay no one ever eat fruit from you again.\u201d<\/mark>\u00a0And his disciples heard him say it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,\u00a0<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.\u00a0<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>And as he taught them, he said,<mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ff0000\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\">\u00a0\u201cIs it not written: \u2018My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations\u2019?\u00a0But you have made it \u2018a den of robbers.\u2019\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup>The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him,&nbsp;because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>When evening came, Jesus and his disciples\u00a0went out of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.&nbsp;<sup>21&nbsp;<\/sup>Peter remembered and said to Jesus, \u201cRabbi,&nbsp;look!
