Where then did the weeds come from?\u2019<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#fd0101\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\"><sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>\u201c\u2018An enemy did this,\u2019 he replied.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#fc0000\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\">\u201cThe servants asked him, \u2018Do you want us to go and pull them up?\u2019<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#fb0101\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\"><sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>\u201c\u2018No,\u2019 he answered, \u2018because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.\u00a0<sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.\u2019\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"\\&quot;wp-block-heading\\&quot; wp-block-heading\">The Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>31\u00a0<\/sup>He told them another parable:\u00a0<mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ff0000\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\">\u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like\u00a0a mustard seed,\u00a0which a man took and planted in his field.\u00a0<sup>32\u00a0<\/sup>Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#f50202\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\"><sup>33\u00a0<\/sup>He told them still another parable:\u00a0\u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like\u00a0yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds\u00a0of flour\u00a0until it worked all through the dough.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>34&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.&nbsp;<sup>35&nbsp;<\/sup>So was fulfilled&nbsp;what was spoken through the prophet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI will open my mouth in parables,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.\u201d<sup>[<a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2013&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-23575c\\\">c<\/a>]<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"\\&quot;wp-block-heading\\&quot; wp-block-heading\">The Parable of the Weeds Explained<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>36&nbsp;<\/sup>Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, \u201cExplain to us the parable&nbsp;of the weeds in the field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>37\u00a0<\/sup>He answered,\u00a0<mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#fd0000\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\">\u201cThe one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.\u00a0<sup>38\u00a0<\/sup>The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,\u00a0<sup>39\u00a0<\/sup>and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest\u00a0is the end of the age,\u00a0and the harvesters are angels.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\\\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#f80101\\\" class=\\\"has-inline-color\\\"><sup>40\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cAs the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.\u00a0<sup>41\u00a0<\/sup>The Son of Man\u00a0will send out his angels,\u00a0and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.\u00a0<sup>42\u00a0<\/sup>They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.\u00a0<sup>43\u00a0<\/sup>Then the righteous will shine like the sun\u00a0in the kingdom of their Father.
